Spring Riding Clubs
2024

Begins week of April 24

A fun exciting way to learn horse care, make friends and improve riding skills! The Dallas Valley Riding clubs run weekly with a maximum of twelve students per session.

 

Learn the basics of saddling and tacking up a horse in a safe, fun environment with hands on training from experienced staff.

 

Play exciting games and gymkhana events from pole bending to soccer all on horse back! 

Learn many skills such as:

• Horse care and safety

• Horse handling skills

• Riding skills

• Various horse disciplines

• Equine terminology

• Fun group horse games

Additionally, there will be a camp-style challenge that will encourage the students to grow in their knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ.

The 6 week riding program is only $270.00 (+gst)

Students may bring their own horses to clubs, but we will not be boarding horses at our facility.

Advanced riding lessons also available for age 14+ 

Advanced riding lessons also available for age 14+ Riding lessons are to be geared towards those who have riding experience and are looking to improve on their abilities. 
Students with their own horse will be taught how to further their horses training to make them into a well broke using horse.
Also helping those looking to begin showing or advance their horse in the show pen.

• $50/lesson

• $60/lesson if we supply the horse

• $75/cow work lesson (must have own horse)

Riding Instructor

Matthew Stephen 

Matthew owns and operates Stephen Performance Horses, where he focuses on starting colts, training ranch horses and reined cowhorses. He competes in the Sask Reined Cowhorse Association and the Sask Cutting Horse Association. Matthew has been riding and training horses for over 7 years and has spent lots of time, riding with and learning from other well known trainers. Matthew has a passion for teaching others how to form a partnership with their horses so they can go on to use them for whatever they are interested in; whether it be using them on the ranch or taking them into the show pen.
