Summer Paid Positions

Program Director
Join our program director team and stretch your leadership skills as you coordinate and oversee one of our three camps. This role is responsible for supervising and taking care of the needs of staff and campers. As well as, planning programs and seeking to provide a fun, safe and gospel centered experience for our campers.

Cabin Leader
Our cabin leaders are the front-line workers of camp. Each week you will be responsible for caring and leading campers. You will have the opportunity to show the love of Christ and teach the gospel through chapels, devotions, activities and relationships. Cabin leaders have the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on our campers.

Lifeguard
Our awesome lifeguards do it all when it comes to keeping things fun and safe! They’re not just watching over everyone in the pool; they’re also on cleaning duty to keep the pool clean. They guard the pool and the dugout like pros, making sure everyone has a blast while following the rules. Plus, our lifeguards are mentors to our Junior Lifeguards, leading the way with enthusiasm and fun!

Current First Aid and National Lifeguard Certification are Required

Skill Instructor
Join our team as a skill instructor and lead exciting activities for our campers! As a skill instructor, you’ll run programs such as Climbing Wall, Archery, Pelletry, or Riflery. You'll be responsible for setting up and leading activities that are safe, engaging, and fun. Bring your creativity to the role by making each session an unforgettable experience for our campers

Riding Instructor
Riding instructors are the heart of our barns and make our horseback programs a huge hit with campers! For many campers, it's their very first time on a horse, and our instructors make sure it’s an experience to remember. By making it full of fun and confidence-building. They’re not just guiding campers; they’re also mentoring our wranglers and helping them grow. It’s all about teamwork, fun, and creating unforgettable memories

Head Cook
Join our camp crew and keep everyone’s bellies happy this summer! Our head cook takes charge of the kitchen, cooking up tasty meals for our campers and staff. You’ll be planning, prepping, and serving meals for anywhere from 100 to 250 hungry friends each day! You’ll also be leading a team of assistant cooks and making sure everyone’s dietary needs are covered. If you’re ready to serve up smiles along with meals, we’d love to have you in our kitchen!

Camp Nurse
With the high energy pace of camp and hours in the sun it is bound to need medical attention. Our camp nurse oversees injury assessment and care. As well as must be qualified to perform classic medical responsibilities (basic first aid and medication distribution).
Must be the following: nursing or medical students or registered professional.

Work Crew Captain
With so many campers and staff around camp, things are bound to get dirty! Serve as a Christian role model while leading and discipling the LIT Work Crew. Work alongside the crew throughout the day, providing guidance, support, and spiritual leadership. Help create a positive, Christ-centred community that is focused on service, growth, and excellence. Model a strong work ethic, servant leadership, and a life worth imitating.

Spring Staff
There's lots to do to get camp ready for the summer! Join our amazing team by helping to facilitate skill areas for our guest groups, and provide maintenance and custodial services for the campsite and facilities. Priority is given to those taking leadership positions in July and August.
**These positions are typically filled by the end of January. (8-10 positions available).**
Must be the following: minimum age 18, available to work full time during May and June, work a minimum of 7 weeks throughout the summer, and attend staff training.

Volunteer Positions
Looking to come alongside our program team and help make camp possible? We have over 150 positions available each summer, helping take care of campers. We have a place for you!

L.I.T (Leader in training)
Our L.I.T.s work alongside the cabin leader, learning and sharing in the opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ through chapels, devotions, activities and relationships. The role of our L.I.T. is very important because they offer extra support, supervision and care to campers. L.I.T.s is great role to be in, because it allows you to be prepared by senior leaders and get comfortable in the role to one day become a cabin leader! Lits may be moved to different support roles.

Wrangler
Join our Wrangler team! Wranglers work alongside riding instructors by assisting with running the barn. They help lead riding skills, build relationships with campers, keep skills running smoothly and assist with chores. Wranglers are always a super fun group to be apart of, because what's better than hanging out with horses and campers all day? Wranglers make riding skill fun and exciting!

Workcrew
Throughout the summer we rely on volunteers to help with maintenance, groundskeeping and more! Our Work crew is an important part to maintaining Dallas Valleys grounds and facilities and are a part of our maintenance team. We can ensure you that you can expect to have a lot of fun while serving alongside other crewmates! We appreciate our work crew so much, and camp couldn't run the same without them!

Assistant Cook
Join our camp kitchen crew and be a part of all thing's food! Assistant cooks work alongside our head cook helping prep, cook, and serve all meals. It takes many hands to feed all of our campers and staff. You will be responsible for accommodating dietary needs of staff and campers. The kitchen is always full of laughter and fun. Many great relationships are built when people come together and serve!
POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Junior Lifeguard
Join our lifeguard team and take care of all things water related! Jr. Lifeguards work alongside our lifeguards. They will help create and keep a clean, organized and safe waterfront environment. They may also help prepare and run games, activities and other programming at camp, at the waterfront.
Bronze Cross/Medallion required.

Community
Dallas Valley is all about people. We strive to grow our staff in a Christian community, focused on faith, friendship and fun! Grow in your leadership skills and make an impact on kids lives.
Salary: Starting wage is $550/week.
Schedule: Camp runs for eight weeks and you can choose the weeks that work for you! We'll start each week on Sunday evening with a team meeting and hanging out to get ready for the campers on Monday morning.
